SEE-OH-OH!
I've never been on a live concert before and I'm just sooo happy that my first would the Hanson Shout It Out Tour 2012! I mean I passed up Chris Brown's, Brian McKnight's, Brian Adams' concert, and a lot more of my favorite artist, but this time I made sure that I will there to support them in Smart Araneta Coliseum. Ever since Mmmbop made it into the airwaves, Hanson, is and will always be, my favorite band. Well, as a college student attending U.P, it's understandable to not have the luxury of leisure time, so like what I do whenever I attend parties and other events, I plan ahead. Yup, I'm hyped up and the OC in me gets in control.
The concert was scheduled on March 30, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and March 31, 2012 at Waterfront, Cebu. Weeks before the concert, my younger sister Chin, who's already working at Ortigas, bought tickets for me and my other sister, ate Carina. Since the semester had just ended and I had completed all school work, I've ironed out any conflicting issues. And I got mom's go signal! Well that's the hardest part for me.;P We have a three-story apartment in Bicutan and I'd be spending the night there with my sisters after the concert. Chin was already in Araneta Coliseum and she's waiting for us; we'll you know how excruciating the traffic in Manila is, so she's gotta wait. :) We met her at the entrance hall, and the three of us half-ran, half-walked through the long hallways and found good seats still. Well if there's one lesson I can share is that its also good to buy ticket at the night of the concert, there will be people walking about, discretely offering tickets for a very low price. I think they are complimentary tickets not intended for sale but still its a good offer. Anyway, we're just in time and I belted long and hard when Taylor, Zachary and Isaac finally made their appearance on stage. How long had it been? 12 years ago? They still look and sound as hot as ever! I knew the lyrics by heart, I sang and danced coz' I'm dressed up for it, hell yea! It's like I'm a teeny-bopper once again, haha! I'm back in the 90's!!! Thank God I was born in the nineties, music then was sooo good! I had a wonderful childhood because of it. Unlike today when most songs and their lyrics doesn't make any sense, all the more its music video and the singer. Well, I thank exceptional bands/groups and singers like Adele, Lady Antebellum and Jason Mraz for keeping gravitas in the music industry.
I had so much fun that night! They sang Mmmbop, Minute Without You, Deeper, Weird, Lost Without Each Other, With You In Your Dreams, Where's the Love, Penny and Me, Strong Enough to Break, A Minute Without You, A Song to Sing, If Only, I Will Come To you and few from their new album entitled “Shout It Out”. The Hanson experience definitely made the top 10 in my list this year. Whenever Taylor and Zac do the running-of-hands-thru-the-hair thing, I die everytime. XD And Isaac was just notorious with the guitar; they're all over the place! See-oh-oh Tay, Zac and Isaac!!! I hope you visit the Philippines again. Keep the fan base kickin', thank you for the music! Sending all my love to Hanson and all the Hanson fans out there. God speed!
